25 Exceptional Examples of Long Exposure
I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise to you guys by now that I'm a photography-enthusiast at it's finest, so from now on I'll be posting on different and sometimes unconventional photography techniques that I enjoy.
I know that Paulo had previously published a post on Long Exposure shots, but I just wanted to add to his article and show you guys some of my favorite examples of this technique. It's a fairly simple process that requires basically just time and experimentation - and also a tripod or sturdy surface (in my case, I used a trashcan). I added a picture I took in Chicago last year that by means do I think is exceptional, but I just wanted to hear what you guys thought, so let me know :)
Also, if you have any images that you took or maybe some cool pictures that you've come across and you'd like to share with us, please drop me a line on Twitter and/or Facebook. I'd love to hear from you!

Tho photo by Kristin Drozdowski is great!!!
Sick photos of Brian Talbot
Very cool!!!
*yawn* ... Sorry but long exposure images of traffic are hardly exceptional, even with smatterings of starburst. However Kristin Drozdowski's image is fantastic.
Very nice pics!!! I have some exposure stuff myself, please, check it out..

;)
The third one by Brian Talbot is lovely. I love those sort of colour tones, it's something I use often. Mysterious and elegant.
I took this photo the other night whilst messing with my camera, thought it was relevant for this post!

Don't know about exceptional examples. They are examples of long exposure but nothing particulalry ground breaking or artistic. Yes if you set your camera up near a road at night and have along exposure you'll get long lines of light on the image. Must say pretty lacklustre examples
im gonna try this soon
Wow great collection. As a photographer myself i haven't really touched this technique. I will have to play with this. I will posy all my results on my website if anyone is interested.

Myself thought this was artistic, and if not then, let me laugh and laugh.... what 'bout Piero Fissore photo?
I love
@RedGoesFaster
Exactly. Too much "copy me" in all this...
have to agree with graham, very underwhelmed by a misleading title.
exceptional these are not; even the one with the fair ground big wheel is not unique and there are better examples already all over the net
Dood, I think I saw something like that on Carol Rivello´s Blog. If I run onto it again, I´ll send it over to ya.
Fun technique tho! Good for those who never heard of it, but I am afraid photoshop killed the "true art" behund it. =/
I really love long exposure, im using in live photos , please check my fav one :

Cheers from brasil.
Yes I agree, these are pretty generic examples of a long exposure, something anyone can do...
Here's an exceptional and favorite long exposure:
