25 Free Photoshop Brushes

November 19, 2008 from paul0v2's blog

I selected 25 unknown photoshop brushes for you to keep on the side, because you never know when you going to need some brushes and it's good to be prepared, check out the selection and get the ones you like.

I wanted to provide the link to download the brushes but I think it's better if you go to the authors page and download it from there, that way you can check out more stuff from the author and give him the credits deserved.

To download click on the font you like and the download link will be in the menu on your left hand side.

Foggy Window Effect in Photoshop
Foggy Window Effect in Photoshop
After over three days of nonstop rain I decided to use that as inspiration for a new experiment in Photoshop. In 2007 I did a video tutorial showing how to create water drops in Photoshop, but it was only the video without any text instruction, so a lot of people have sent emails asking us to put a text version of the tutorial. I always thought that simply repeating the same tutorial wouldn't be cool so I tried to make a new effect and apply the water drops on it as well.

The book suggestion of the week is one of my favorites, it's called Typology: Type Design From Victorian Era to the Digital Age and it covers a lot of art history always linking with types and typography. It's a must read for those starting out their careers or even willing to dust off their typology and typography skills. About the book
