30 Super Stylish Lomo Photos
June 25, 2009
Photography, for me, is all about the spontaneity of the subject and the setting; pictures that make you think and feel. We've covered HDR, Long Exposure, Sun Flare, and many other photography techniques. But now it's about time we cover perhaps my favorite technique of all: Lomography.
I hope you guys like them as much as I do
Lomography emphasizes casual, snapshot photography. Characteristics such as over-saturated colors, off-kilter exposure, blurring, "happy accidents," and alternative film processing are often considered part of the "Lomographic Technique." Users are encouraged to take a lighthearted approach to their photography, and use these techniques to document everyday life, as the Lomo LC-A's small size, simple controls, and ability to shoot in low light encourages candid photography, photo reportage, and photo vérité through the much-touted "10 Rules."

Love'em... Why can't I have such amazing pictures with my Diana ?? :((((
those are great! Lomo rules ;)
Neat's second one is just a red gradient imo. But the rest are awsome.
Well done Amanda, great lomos.
thanks for sharing ;)
Great collection! Thank you.
Very nice work. I like the vintage look of these photographs.
nice set of pictures, i really like the old effect that these images have, are these manipulated to have a olden look?
Hum ... delicious
Take a shitty plastic cam, wear your favorite nerd glasses and trash tons of good films (works better with a $10 Velvia from LSI - they like it!) taking pictures of ashtrays, your brother's dirt socks, traffic lights and lot's of blasé self-portraits. Maybe you can get 1 in 100 usable photo, and voila. Call yourself an artist.
thank you for posting my work!
a few notes.
none of the shots were taken with a lomo or toy camera... they were shot with either a 35mm slr or a medium format TLR - if you go the the photo's flickr page and look at the tags you can see what kind of camera.
In response to the anonymous third comment, there is no gradient from photoshop... it's film, they all are. what you are calling out as a gradient is just a light leak from changing rolls mid way through shooting.
peace&love

Really enjoyed looking at these. The photo with the chairs - what creates the scratchy vintage lines?
it's really cool :)
Samm Rowe is genius. She has such an eye to capture the most amazing stunning moments on camera. Such a wide range of subjects & places too. Love all her work.
I really want to learn Japanese language but the thing is I dont know how to go about it. The http://www.theobald.net main problem is I dont have any disposable money due to being unemployed at the moment, therefore leaves me with alot of free time. With the free time I have I would like to do somthing productive with it (besides looking for a new job which is proving to be quite difficult at the moment) and learn Japanese.
I don't like this effect usually but there are some really nice ones on this post.
