3D Strange Creatures

June 01, 2010 from PauloGabriel's blog

It's been a very long time since the last time we had a 3D works post so we just had to post something today. It's always nice to see that each year 3D pieces are getting more and more realistic. Thank God there's the awesome CGSocity.org for us to find these babies.

I remember back in 2006 that it looked totally amateur compared to present technology and techniques. One good way to measure that is through video games! It's getting more realistic each year, and that just awes me. I guess that will come a time when we won't be able to tell whether an image is computer graphic or real life. "Is this real life?" Anyways, I hope you all enjoy these, and please, don't forget to check each artist's page by clicking the images. They'll appreciate it! Cheers. ;)

Reader Tutorial: Starting with After Effects
Hi, my name is Pascal Verstegen, aka Enkera from Noa Studios. In this tutorial i'm going to explain how easy it is for any photoshop users out there that create a lot of effects-added branding to transform their work into a great and simple animation using After Effects, presumably to spice up your client presentation or intro to your website. Step 1 First, let's take a look at what the kind of work would be that would fit this purpose greatly!

Wallpaper of the Week #120 by Abduzeedo
The wallpaper of this week is an image I created for a tutorial for Digital Arts Magazine. The idea was to play around with some light effects, colorful but very subtle with a little bit of 80's style in it. The tutorial will be available pretty soon, however you can start using the wallpaper, I'm using it on my iPad and iPhone and it looks awesome. Desktop Version
