Tilt-shift photography is a technique of photographing using a special configuration at your camera so that you can capture the scene in a miniature scale. Tilt-shift actually stands for two different types of movements to get the photo: rotation of the lens relative to the image plan - called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane - called shift. This miniature effect can also be reached at photoshop as you will be able to check out at the tutorials links mentioned here.
This post was suggested by one of our readers, tiltshift (Yuri). When I received his suggestion and started to research more about the technique I was pretty impressed because I actually didn't know how the effect was done. And worst, don't laugh at me, I always thought that those images were real... little people and little things putted into very little scenarios. :) So now that I learned more about this I want to share this images with you and encourage you to read more about this kind of photography.
Also make sure to click the images to go to the source to read more about the artists or the technique. Enjoy!!
