50 Tiny Superheroes Illustrations by Marcio Takara

July 31, 2009 from PauloGabriel's blog

A few months ago, during my regular visits to DeviantART, I ran into this amazing Brazilian illustrator, called Marcio Takara. I was really stunned by his style: black outlines, with smooth colors and an amazing trace. Many of these portraiting superheroes. Tiny superheroes.

And ok, I lied, because this is not only about his work on tiny superheroes, but also on tiny cartoon and game characters, which are also amazing. This is a really fresh style, and I bet you'll love for its simplicity. For more of Marcio's work, visit his DeviantART portfolio! Enjoy, and cheers! ;)

Abduzeedo 2010 Light Effects in Photoshop
A few weeks ago I posted a tutorial showing how I created the new Abduzeedo's 2010 symbol, which will be used for icons, posters, t-shirts and other gears. That tutorial was about the Illustrator walk-through process and in the end there was the light effect version of the symbol that I created in Photoshop.

The wallpaper of this week is an image I created for a tutorial a few weeks ago to play and learn how to create some metalic buttons in Photoshop. I also used some textures and apply a chrome text effect. For more information and to learn how to do this effect check out the Awesome Amp Controls in Photoshop tutorial. Desktop Version
