50 Vintage Camera Ads - Part 1
September 28, 2009
I have a soft spot in my heart for vintage cameras that no digital can replace. Honestly, I'd trade in my pixels for grains any day. There's something so pure about developing your own film or even better: watching it develop at the blink of an eye! Instant gratification like never before!
Following my never-ending romance with Brownies, Rolleiflex, etc., I went on the lookout for some vintage camera ads and found so much good stuff! This stuff's gold, seriously. Let me know what you think via Twitter or Facebook! And stay tuned for part 2 ;)

I love the ads for the "small" size cameras--they're 5 times as big as "small" cameras today! And, I love the illustrations for the stereo camera! Thanks for sharing these fun images!
Old times :)

Thank you for that brilliant list :)
I have an old Jiffy Kodak VP in perfect condition with the original box and instructions. Looks cool on my desk.
ahhhh real film - nothing compares with film
Ah le retro le seul style que je n'apprécie pas et qui reviens en force :(

Great post, some excellent ads and beautiful type. Thanks!
Great list! I recently bought a Pentacon Praktica LTL slr from the '70s and it looks so great and solid. Although I have an excellent DSLR, nowadays they all look so plastic compared to the old slr camera's!
Fantastic selection. I have a soft spot for vintage ads as well, especially the '50s. They're such a reflection of the "Go, America!" feel of that time frame.
I have bought 6 vintage camera's in the last month, so I know exactly what you mean. I LOVE film photography and it's just addicting...and expensive...I must say. Unfortunately.
Best post in months.
If you have to do it, you might as well do it right.,
