59 Vintage Book Covers

October 05, 2009 from amanda's blog

This weekend I was cruising through flickr and came across this group called Book Cover Club. To my surprise (and delight!) they were all vintage book covers. Nothing pleases me more than some vintage in my life!

Some of these books are so ridiculous like the sexual fantasy ones, but the cover is still pure 1960s gold! Some of these look like the so-bad-that-they're-good type, and some I actually really want to read! Anyway, I'll leave you guys with the collection. Don't forget to let me know what you think via twitter or facebook! Hope you guys enjoy these as much as I did :)

A Perfect Truth: Reverse Photoshop Processing
A Perfect Truth: Reverse Photoshop Processing
As a follow on from yesterday, this is the second of this style. I have reversed the process, to create a reverse processing style to the video. I feel this clearly shows a person for how the really appear. Stripping back all the work to reveal the face as it was, as it is. I hope you enjoy. I will be posting a tutorial video shortly. More then likely it will be a series as there will be many ares to cover. So after a certain amount of videos it will cover nearly all the processes covered in my timelapse videos.

Book Suggestion: Why We Buy - The Science of Shopping
The book of this week is not a design book per se but it's an incredible book. I have just finished it and I got so much valuable information that can be applied in my day to day job as designer. The book is called Why We Buy: The Science of Shopping--Updated and Revised for the Internet, the Global Consumer, and Beyond by Paco Underhill.
