69 Stunning Gig Posters
July 20, 2009
What's design without music? What's music without design? I wanted to add on to Paulo's post, 30 Totally Cool Band Posters, because I, too, have always had a thing for indie gig posters, and coincidentally enough, I also stumbled upon the same website, gigposters.com
Here I gathered some of the coolest posters I found on gigposters, ffffound, and behance. And you can also refer back to Paulo's article for the complete list! Hope you guys enjoy them as much as we did :)
As always, if you have any images that you took or maybe some cool pictures you've come across and you'd like to share with us, please drop me a line on Twitter and/or Facebook. I'd love to hear from you!

This was really great!
nice one :) can I ask .. is there something like Abduzeedo forum? Id like to ask something about graphic - posters
I went out the other day to take some photos of gig posters, I think I'll toss them in the abduzeedo photo stream when I get back to my apartment!
Nice stuff; I've always been partial to posters with a diagonal axis. The 10.5 Redmonroe is way sweet!
Loved this post! The ones from Matteo Cellerino are totally amazing!
I really like indie music, one of my favorites.
Thanks for the collection, I saved almost every piece into my collection.
I found some cool posters with arctic monkeys:

I just love doing design based on music, you can see the albums I've done if you check out my portfolio (click on my name).
I love gig posters. Great collection you have here!
I was wondering the same thing! A forum would be great to exchange ideas, tips and tricks.
amazing! gig posters are by far my favorite thing to design! great source for expression and experimentation!
Love the Modest Mouse poster.
The Arcade Fire ones are visually very interesting but do they work as advertising postes? They are hard to read and it took me a second to even see where the name of the band was written.
@Martion, @Brötje I was talking to abduzeedo about the forum idea and he's thinking about starting one but he'd need some help, as far as moderators go, so if anybody's interested please get back to me.
Even though these are all gig posters, the variation of poster designs is great. It is interesting to see how the musical style and the venue are combined in the artists’ design. I admire the simplicity of The Killers poster. A simplistic design is becoming more and more popular, but it's still so eye catching even with the rise in popularity.
awesome collection. sometimes I think I do graphic design just to make posters. These posters rock, I love Andrio Aberos work it really inspiring
Brandon Lesley of Denton, Texas is another great poster designer (though, relatively unknown). Be sure to check out his great work on his Flicker stream.
