Dvein is a motion and interactive studio based in Barcelona. They make some awesome stuff, and you can see that in their portfolio. Some of their work I can't even tell whether it's real or not. Seriously. Besides that, their portfolio is one of the most stunning portfolios I've ever seen.
July is past and it was a really good month, because of that we've chosen for this week lots of links. Of course, we've got awesome news and design references such as the new Delicious, the launch of Cuil and the Fabio Sasso's interview, the guy behind Abduzeedo, at the Fuel Your Creativity.
I'm far from a professional photographer, I'm more of an enthusiast and I love to play around with my Canon G9. It's not an SLR camera but it works really fine for my skills and, also, it does RAW; everything I need for my addiction to HDR. I still have a lot to learn but I thought it would be nice to share some of my experiments.

Another day I was talking to a friend of my, and he told me that he would love to see more posts about web design here at Abduzeedo. When he told me that, I totally understood that we're kind of posting just about photography and illustration... and only Fabiano is doing something about web with his tutorials and links in the Best of the Week series. So today, web design it is!
funny · advertising · clever
One of the biggest challenges when advertising a product, is to come up with an idea that is not obvious, but still is clever enough to deliver the message your client wants. When you do that and still manage to be funny, you hit the jackpot. Here are some examples of clever advertising and how a simple idea might be just the right one to go with.

Hi there, this is my first post for Abduzeedo and I'm starting with a quick video tutorial of one of Fabio's cool designs. Fabio got in touch with me and suggested that we did some work together regarding video tutorials. To get things rolling I thought it would be nice to create a video on one of my favorite tutorials

I thought that these classic and modern designs on plates were pretty good. As some of you may see, there are some nice shapes inside the plates design. There are also some colours that go well together will the design. Here they are...

I've already seen some of these sometimes before, and it's really amazing who these dudes manage to make such realistic 3D paintings, messing with nothing but our perception. And I just wonder whether or not this is just a hobbie for them, or is it their actual income source. Anyways, Julian Beever and Kurt Wenner are trully talented artists.
motion graphics · credits · title sequence · tv · film · animation
I love motion graphics and animation. One thing I look for when I go to the cinema or watch a TV program is a nicely designed title and/or credit sequence. It's not absolutely necessary, but if it's there, and done right, it adds a new level of enjoyment to the film or show. I feel like there has been a bunch of great sequences lately so I thought I'd post a few that I liked.
We've already featured him here at Abduzeedo, in the last Wallpaper of the Week. He's a designer from Australia, with a passion for art and design. He's got some great work in his portfolio, and I'd like to share it with you. His name is Christopher Haines. He's works are really cool, and go from photo manipulation to illustration.
In this tutorial I will show you how to create a very nice image inspired by the amazing work of Andy Gilmore. If you don't know who he is, I highly recommend you to check his work out. He creates images combining vectors and blend modes to create astonishing designs, and that is what we are going to do.
One of the greatest things about design is how some people get to use classic references in their work. This week's video has that classic touch, and uses the theme song from 1952 film, Singing in the Rain. But not only uses the song, they also manage to turn the song into something new, yet, really enjoyable. Now add a dude breakdancing. Cool, huh?
