Amazing Vintage Ads
Vintage ads are awesome. We really can learn a lot from them. Colors, typography, the way the designers and artists found ways to overcome the lack of technology to produce some really amazing pieces.
In this post we will feature some Vintage Ads sent to us by Enzo Gravante, a collector who has a huge collection of ads dating from 1900 to 1980 for a wide variety of categories. We will show you some from very famous Italian artists such as Gino Boccasile, Mario Puppo, Luigi Veronesi, Marcello Dudovich, Al Moore, and many others.
I'm a collector since about 20 years, and I have of all categories (cars, watches, pens, pencil, cigarettes, cigars, jewelry, dressing and accessories, shoes, touristic country, medicines, cosmetics, parfums, cartoons, toys, interior design, benzine gasoline, motors, motocycles, bikes, food & beverage, postcards, lighters, pipes and accessories, typewriters, calculators, photo machines, field glasses, films, sports, covers of magazines with actor and actress, and a lot of original document about very important persons of culture) - from 1900 to 1980 - many of those are very rares and many designed (with signature) of very famous grahics (Gino Boccasile, Mario Puppo, Luigi Veronesi, Marcello Dudovich, Al Moore, and many others)

In old times artists should have more talent to draw.
They didn't have Computer Graphics to make compositions to them.
A lot of "artists" today just know click buttons.

Hi !
Good seection but somme of the ads here aren't Italian but French ones !...
;)
@SR - Sorry, I've fixed the issue, changed the title. Thanks for that ;)
ha these are great... It is cool to see how some of this art has influenced us today, and even crazier to think of the level of talent considering no digital mediums(on some of the older ones)
Leocda — it still takes actual talent to "click buttons" and come up with GOOD work.
@ leocda-
you say that in a way that to be able to be an artist you have to be able to draw...
its not the process its the outcome- you could just "click buttons" but if what you come out with is a good peice of art, and that is Disputable, as long as it is original then who cares if you "just clicked some buttons"?
originality is talent...
Thank You very nice topic
