"Amy" - Dove's New Viral

January 28, 2008 from

Dove's been doing a cool campaign, as most of you know, about how beauty industry messes up with women's head... a cool campaign, through virals.

It has been release 2 videos already, both of them really impressive and a little bit shocking: Evolution and Onslaught. This time, they've released a new viral with a lighter and more emotive proposal: Amy. It's the story of a kid who keeps waiting for his girl out side her house, but she never leaves the house. In the end, we get to know the real reason why: "Amy can name 12 things wrong with her appearance. He can't name one". Freaking cute, huh?

The wallpaper of the week is an artwork created by Perttu Murto for the UUtheory NINE contest. We really like the design and asked Perttu if he could send us a case study showing the process of creating it. He was super kind and send us a 10 step making of in which we can understand a bit more about how it was done.

Book Suggestion: Visual Complexity - Mapping Patterns of Information
The book of this week is a book I just got from a friend. It was in my wish list for a long time. The book is called Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information and as the reviews says, it's about our ability to generate information now far exceeds our capacity to understand it.
