After establishing a working partnership in 1965 with Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, Sir Terry Farrell opened his own office in 1980. Before breaking with Grimshaw, Terry worked with an emphasis on residential projects and later became known as the main name of Postmodern architecture in the United Kingdom, being commissioned to important works in London. Today the Farrells office has branches in Hong Kong and Shanghai where he has designed several solutions in architecture and urban planning.
