It's been quite a long time since we posted about character design. It's not exactly our forte but we really love the field and especially the work that we see out there on the internet. Most of the work is for the game industry and it's amazing the amount of details some of this characters have. Coming out from the Winter season, the change of climate and temperature get me all fuzzed up about the nature. We don't take much time looking at what's around us, the daily reality that we tend to forget with our busy lives. Well, Øystein Aspelund does understand this concept and his "hibernation" series totally reflects that.
As you probably heard about the passing of David Bowie during the past week. Leaving behind, a legacy about his music, personality and beautiful things from the Starman himself. It's amazing to see artists coming together and expressing/submitting their own memories of David Bowie. Here are a few of them. I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring.
Hand-lettered images are awesome and I feel most people reading this may share that same opinion. Despite the fact I cannot create anything cool I love seeing the work of those that can. Carl Fredrik Angell has excelled with this particular technique and I am absolutely enamored with the beautiful hand-letter for his personal portfolio. The intricate detail is simply incredible, check it out. Carl Fredrik Angell is a Norwegian graphic design student at Kolding School of Design, Denmark. His specialty is Hand lettering and sign painting.
