Beautiful Dark Light Photos by Alcove

One thing that attracts me the most in a photo is the light of it. I really like the atmosphere that different lights can bring to a photo making a normal street become very interesting. That's what Alcove's photos are all about: light. Particularly, dark light. Obviously, those angles are fantastic too. His photos look very surreal, including his not so dark ones. I really enjoy it, I hope you like it too.

This style of photography has always been interesting to me. It would be great to see a before and after manipulation, and also a tutorial. Or at least the process by which the photographer gets from the original image to the finished piece.

Impressive, I wonder about the conditions, hope to get myself a DSL-R real quick

What is this style called? It look alot like the Dragan Effect, but with landscapes... I would be very glad to see a tutorial or at least the real name of this kind of style :)

(since "dark light style" seems not to be the right name)

Exceptionally good low-key photos!

Perhaps I'm just being nitty-picky, but shouldn't the title be "beautiful low-key photos by Alcove"?

I don't think I've ever heard of "dark light photos".

Coolio!

HOW DO YOU DO THIS!? I wANNA KNOW!

ThirdDesign05/02/2009

Wow.. This is way beyond the normal HDR compositions!
Amazing.. TUT soon?

I think its a combination of day and night photography. The buildings are day photos while some of the sky are night photos. Or maybe even a total different sky merged into the picture to create this gorgeous effect. Nice work by the way!
