- Jan 13, 2012
The idea in this series is to show beautiful and inspiring houses. Houses that are remarkable for its design, elegance, elements, concept or simply because they are beautiful. So if you like architecture, interior design and beautifully designed houses, you are at the right spot. Check out this week beautiful house and stay tuned for more...
The Zipper House is a project by DeForest Architects, a firm located in Seattle, WA. This modern remodel offers a new intake on the postwar split-level house type. By opening up the stair, raising the roof and adding a fifth level, the architects created a "zipper" that weaves together views and spaces. Make sure to check the image with further details about the house in the end of the post.
This house is simple, cozy and modern, I really liked what they did to the old house. The materials and open spaces create a beautiful and inspiring environment, definitely a great place to live! ;)
Check out DeForest Architects website for further details about this and other projects. See you next time.
