Beautiful Illustrations by Hazim Hamid

May 07, 2009 from PauloGabriel's blog

It's always great to find an awesome designer, illustrator, or whatever, when you least expect it. This happened yesterday, when Hazim Hamid contacted us, asking us to look at this portfolio, and wow. It was a really visual pleasure.

Originally from Kuala Lumpur, he's making a tour on duty in Sydney. The incredible thing is that not only his exposed works are awesome, his portfolio is also mindblowing! It's incredible how neat it is, and I'm totally sure you guys will love it. Hope you like it! Cheers ;)

Fantastic Disintegration Effect inspired by Watchmen in Photoshop
Last week I went to the movies to see Watchmen, an amazing movie with beautiful special effects. However, one in special caught my attention. It was the Dr. Manhattan transformation, so I decided to create something inspired by that scene using Photoshop. In this tutorial I will show you how to create the disintegration effect using brushes and the blur filter. It's really simple and you will be able to create nice designs using this sort of trendy style of effect.
