The Beauty of Illustrations by Gary Fernandez
Straight from Spain, Gary Fernandez has one of the craziest styles of illustrations that can easily be called artwork as for he recently had an exhibition in Shanghai, China. Check out his work and be amazed by the illustrations you will see.
Spanish illustrator Gary Fernández began to be seriously interested in illustration while working in the design team of the Spanish magazine Vanidad in 2003/2004.
He then started working as a freelance illustrator for clients like Nokia, Zune Originals, Volkswagen, Lucky Strike, Camel and Coca Cola, to name a few. In addition, Gary started running the t-shirt brand VelvetBanana in 2005, where he is the Creative Director. His first collection premiered in spring 2006.
At the beginning of 2008 he published his first book project called “Introduction to Fantastic Girls, Future Landscapes & The Most Beautiful Birds Ever Seen”. It was inspired by the sketchbooks he had been saving for years. A source of endless visual inspiration, this project became the starting point for Gary’s current illustration work. Gary spends his time trying to come up with new worlds full of details, beauty and imagination. He creates environments inspired by the things he loves, the worlds he believes should exist and his life experiences.
Gary Fernández believes in the idea of illustration as a tool for showing the hidden beauty of the ordinary things.

Muito bonito!!!!!!!!!
If you combined Salvador Dali and H.R. Giger, and then put your new "person" in front of Photoshop, I imagine this is what you might get.
Very cool, classy, and a little "out there!"
Absolutely insane. I love the abstract and surrealism in these works! Really great to see the gallery shots. The colors in all these are EXCEPTIONAL! I love bright blues and loud red-violets. They look even better when thrown into something achromatic like this.... I'm stunned..... :)
Some great illustrations in this article. The abstract one is absolutely amazing.
I have some work pretty similar on my portfolio at www.knrdesigns.com maybe you could check it out too.
Great post!
