Berlin Wall Orignal Paintings Restoration
It has been 20 years now since the fall of the Berlin Wall and therefore the city of Berlin decided to restore the paintings of the wall asking the original artists. I went out there and got really inspired by those amazing abstract paintings and to took some photos to share with you.
The East Side Gallery is a special place, where art has become the expression for a unique point in time of the history of a separated Germany. It is a meeting point that talks about an old Berlin and a new Berlin, a separated and a unified Germany.
Original Paintings: 1990 Restoration: 2009 | If you have the chance to visit it you should definitely do that, not just because of these images I've selected, but there are awesome things you could check out in Berlin as well. Enjoy.
By the way you can make a search on Google to see the old paintings..a huge difference.

These images and designs represent a historic wall, also these images represent the thoughts and feelings of the Berlin people. I love the fact that all the artists have such an individual style. Each image is a unique portrayal, and demonstrates the significance of the visual and political barrier created by the wall.
More on the huge transformation Germany has made since the fall of the wall.

Absolutely Crazy. I already was at the Berlin wall and when I was there, all of the old paintings were ruined with tags and all that stuff. I really like the restored version of the East Side Gallery. Have to do another trip there.
