Some time ago we began a series of posts on logo design. Our goal? To cover as many logos as we can until the end of the year... we started with logos starting with A, today is all about D's. We've been seeing some great logos, and we wish to have you guys along with us on this design journey.
One of the coolest ways for designers to promote their work, not only in the beginning, but also during their career, is to make gig posters! The greatest thing about it, is that you have, most times, total freedom to come up with some crazy designs, and that just rocks.
From time to time, we run into some artists that really catch our attention, and to do that, an artist must stand outside the box, and come up with something entirely fresh and awesome and that's just what Thomas Doyle did.
Lately we've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?
It's great to see how much art goes around. Cool stuff back then keeps inspiring people today to make cool pieces of modern design. We've seen lots of great modern vintage pieces, but here are some real vintage illustrations for your delight!
Checking these, I totally understand why it still inspires people around the world. The style, the colors, the lines, everything in perfect harmony to build such great pieces. Anyways, I really hope you enjoy these! Cheers. ;)
Among all the art schools, one of the most bad-asses is definitely the Constructivism. Spread worldwide by Soviet propaganda, it features lots of straight lines, few colors, and it feels really powerful. Lately, indie bands started using constructivist inspiration for its identities.
Next year, the greatest story ever told will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. For me, Back to the Future is the best trilogy that there is, flawless or not, and since I was presented with the dvd set, I watched the full trilogy at once, and that was one great experience.
I was watching the Back to the Future Trilogy the other day, and was amazed (again), by the story telling, and by its production. It's amazing how they managed to make such a great trilogy in such a short time, and I wonder the "quantity" of inspiration they had to get in order to make things happen.

During my daily visit to DeviantART, I was completely blown away when I ran into the work of Filipe Aguiar. I truly love illustrations, and I'm becoming very fond of graffiti, an awesome style... and Filipe's work is all about graffiti and graffiti style illustrations.
