The first example and the last one looks almost the same. Symbol in the left with the lettring on the right. Kind of weird..

Visual identities are made with much more effort than using just a software. Software is a tool. Look at the techniques and apply them to your preferred software.

I too am interested in specifically what software is used or at least what those screen shots are of. Is it a different view mode in illustrator. I know you can change guides to dotted lines, but I'm not sure that makes sense. Or are the screen shots set up just to demonstrate the method?

Our questions won't ever be answered lol. I use Illustrator when I create my logos but after drawing tons of ideas. Want I want to know is if the guides are created manually. I want to go to extreme detail with my logo creations like in the examples above.
