In December 16th of 2006, I started Abduzeedo with the idea of making it a place where I could share design things I like, but also backup some Photoshop experiments. Then in March 22nd of that year I posted a little walk through article on how to create a stylish smoke using Photoshop and the Liquify filter, and fortunately it became very popular and has promoted Abduzeedo throughout the web.

I remember that I was looking for a way to create that effect for quite some time, then when I was driving back home and had an idea of what could be the best way to do the effect. I got home and put my laptop on the kitchen table and using only the laptop's trackpad I created the image.

Today, we celebrate the second anniversary of the tutorial that really gave some visibility to Abduzeedo. It was our first article to hit Digg's frontpage and also was featured in some great sites such as Lifehacker. And for this celebration, we will give away 1000 postcards from PrintPrintPrint.biz, to participate, just leave a comment. We will announce the winner next week. Also, I've created a wallpaper with that image.

If you haven't checked the tutorial yet, you can take a look at "Create Smoke in Photoshop".
