Creepy Delicious Manips by Ashkan Honarvar

January 13, 2010 from PauloGabriel's blog

I really find amazing when someone comes up with something that make feelings get mixed up. Can something be creepy, yet delicious? I didn't think so until I saw this series from artist Ashkan Honarvar. He made marshmallows look like creepy wounds.

And here's his work. For more, visit his portfolio at Behance. Cheers! ;)

In this tutorial I will show you how I created the Abduzeedo's footer. Some of the techniques I used here I took from other tutorials and also from another tutorial I wrote some time ago for PSDtuts Mix Cool Retro Curves Into Your Photographs. Besides, the design is inspired by the amazing work of James White, so I highly recommend you to check his work out.

Book Suggestion - Poke the Box
The book of this week is Poke the Box. Written by Seth Godin, Poke the Box is very inspiring and motivating about initiating and shipping. It makes you think about so many things and makes you want to make things happen. If you're stuck at the starting line, you don't need more time or permission. You don’t need to wait for a boss’s okay or to be told to push the button; you just need to poke.
