Brazil have been one of the top countries on export great talents for the comic book industry. Nowadays we have many brazilians working on major comic companies as Marvel, DC, Image and Vertigo and I'm quite pride of that. As this is a great sign that our internal industry is finally going forward. André Coelho is one of this comic book artist that had the opportunity to work for major comic book companies, what is quite undeniable when you see the work this inker/penciler has to offer.
Most known for his collaborations with the writer Jeph Loeb in storylines for both DC and Marvel comics, Tim Sale is a veteran when it comes to make interesting and introspective artwork. With a linework that resemble masters as Mike Mignolla, I just can't get enough from this penciler/inker. Unfortunately, Tim's Official Website is offline for now, but you can see some of his artwork at his Comic Art Community profile.
Next week I will be heading to Brighton, England for Reasons to be Creative, an amazing conference that I have the honor to be speaking alongside a stellar line up of speakers. I am humbled to be invited to such a great event, especially given some of the designers I truly admire will be speaking including: Elliot Jay Stocks, Aaron Gustafson, Dan Rubin, Erik Spiekermann among many others. I am looking forward to going back to London and Brighton. I would love to meet local designers or anyone interested in a pint and good design talk.
