I saw this post today on core77 and I thought it was a great story to share it with our Abduzeedo readers. I'm sure you've all heard the notion that "print is a dying medium." Advertising in print is down, and seems to continue declining, because more people are going online to read content.

We love comic books and superheroes and it's hard to explain why, however we could say that it's one of our first contacts with art, even though they are commercial. Now imagine if a famoust artist like Pablo Picasso were alive and decided to paint about superheroes? That is what Mike Esparza decided to play with, he created a superhero series with the Picasso's Cubist style.
After working a while on a project that I need some textures, I remembered how important it is to have good resourcers at hand. I went looking for some paper textures, and it took me some time, so I thought it would be a good idea to make a selection of the best I found.
