Great Textures Giveaway by Color Burned

August 06, 2008 from PauloGabriel's blog

One of the greatest things about the internet is that you always manage to find great sources of textures, templates, inspiration and everything that might help you come up with some good design.

And there's a cool site by designer Grant Friedman, called Color Burned where you'll find some awesome textures for a real good price and some freebies... Grant generously donated all 6 sets of textures he's got for 1 fortunate person who will leave a comment for this post! The sets are Wood, Pavement, Concrete & Stone, Clouds, Brick and Metal & Rust. Cool, huh? To see some of the textures he's got and you might win, just visit his shop and take a look!

Here are two examples from the Wood set, out of 30 other wood high quality textures:

So don't forget, if you wanna try your luck to get these really cool sets of textures, just leave a comment! Next week we'll announce the winner!! Cheers! ;)

Therefore, I invented this tutorial, which uses only basic watercolor brushes, a photo, and a layer mask. This tutorial is part of a series of tutorials I have been writing for Pixelmator and posting over at http://www.pixelmator.com/learn/
