A strong trend for movie posters we've seen in the last months is hand drawn posters. Mostly used for indie movies, it's a really fresh kind of design, and I'm really loving it.

Some of the greatest movies I've seen in the past 6 months had hand drawn posters and were indie... so I'll guess the I'm probably a sucker for that kinda movie anyways. Here is a little list of some of these great posters, most of them found at the Internet Movie Poster Awards.

It's clearly a trend. More and more movies seem to be picking the kind of generic scratchy marker-drawn style.

Probably since most new comedies have been off-beat. The only really somewhat typical one i can think of coming out in the near future is Tropic Thunder.

Yeah some very good posters then, Over at WotUThink.com you get to see all the movie posters and it is good to see the different ones and which stand out and or not.

Well, I can see them all... how come ? (im in france)
anyway, funny to see how it became a bit 'fashion' to get those kind of typo !
Some of them are really well drawn btw...
