Take a look inside this amazing project from Alfalfa Studio where they documented the making of this hand made poster campaign and the result is outstanding. The posters were hand-made using cut paper, paint, glue, and other craft materials. Enjoy!
Client: Amphibian Stage Productions
Product: Theatre posters
Medium: Print, digital
This set of theatre posters was designed to promote the 12th season of Amphibian Stage Productions in Fort Worth, Texas.
In these posters alfalfa studio sought to capture the sense of theatrical space by photographing 3-dimensional compositions. Paper elements were shimmed to various heights to create natural depth and shadows. The resulting spatial relationships quite literally cast into relief the deep currents and conflicts of the plays.
In the end, the 2011 poster series helps to reinforce the mission of a company that seeks to produce innovative and engaging works of theatre that challenge the way we see the world around us.
The posters were also designed to work in various media and formats, such as advertising, postcards, websites, slide projections, full color, and black and white.
