Amazing collection...

Most of them are pushing the HDR a bit too far, would of been nice to see the HDR that tries to replicate what the eyes see at that moment.

beautiful stuff

most of these are shit
and im fucking sick of HDR, at least the type where it is HDR just for the sake of it, with the sliders up to max. no subtlety.
alot of this blog seems to now be made up of the same recycled content, and other peoples work. When it started out alot of it was original stuff, and I miss that. just because you have a tonne of subscribers doesn't mean you can relax. Don't forget why people signed up in the first place!

A lot of these are prime examples of why I hate most HDR photos; they look like overly filtered images done in photoshop. The goal of HDR photography was originally to incorporate the full range of what the human eye can pick up. Somehow I have a hunch that a few of these were created from a single exposure, instead of multiple ones.

OMFG this shit look unreal, but cool! I wanna do it too! Some good tutorial how to make em? Thanks!

I like this type of photography
the first time I saw this HDR thing I tough it was very good Photoshop skills but no.

Sorry, but anyone can use Photomatix to process this stuff without any regard to image quality or composition at all. If an aspiring 16 year old thinks it's cool I have no problem with that, but these photos have no business appearing on a website that's trying to be a design and inspiration leader.

When I first discovered over processed multi-exposure HDR photos 2 1/2 years ago I was impressed too, and I created plenty of HDR images for the sake of the technique and not the image itself. So I understand that people will see these photos for the first time and think they're fantastic. And hey, if there were only a handful of these photos in existance, they WOULD be fantastic. But there's an infinte supply, and overdone HDR has turned into pure noise - it's garbage. It's the responsibility of websites like this to educate people in the proper use of High Dynamic Range and when to use it, and not to just push the sliders in Photomatix around.

My god...I can't wait to go back. These places are in my dreams and look a lot like these photos

i dont get why people so heavily criticise something that they a) don't have to look if they dont choose to; and b) its art. by that i mean there is no right and wrong. we each have our likes and dislikes. i like these. and so do other people. but at the same time i dont like things someone else likes, doesnt mean i go and burst their bubble though.

a well done HDR image really makes the image pop with all the extra info visible. An image that has been photoshopped to look like an HDR image looks like, well a photoshopped image. These are fine examples of why photoshopping something for the sake of it is bad. Some truly awful attempts that have quite possibly turned some nice images into horrid images.

Bring on the good HDR, showcase the talented few who use it appropriately but please spare us these sorry attempts

i kinda agree with undertone a little, but still they do look cool!

Most of these HDRI shown above are not well implemented, only a few consider good HDRI.

OMG its another HDR MonstersPack.... They are simply booooooooring because of muddy colors. Instead of HDR trickery one should read more about: image dynamic range, bracketing and how to use ND 0.6 grad filters. No more amateur level HDR PLZ.

I recently had the privilege to visit Rome- in fact, I was there just a couple weeks ago. It has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and I'd give anything to go back.

While I can appreciate these images for what they are- to the people who created them, it's art- I personally am not crazy over them. My gut tells me that the designers were intending to capture the beauty and grace of the city, however I don't believe these particular images do that at all.

Oh my god, what a way of destroying photos... HDR is really innecesary for every photo of this collection and it's anyway really bad executed. Halos, horrible mask transitions, and terrible compositions.
HDR is used to increase the luminic range of an image, to get information both in shadows and high lights. Please, let's stop using HDR just to try to hide the take's defects. It's useless for anyone who knows the basics of photography.

They look amazing, but some of them look artificial, too colorful or artistic. Still beautiful images though.
