Inspiration: Archan Nair (badam PISTA)

October 30, 2008 from Daniela's blog

I love colors, specially vibrant color combinations, because, that's the first thing that catches my attention, or maybe, it's because my Brazilian heritage, our carnival here is always very colorful. That's why I was very impressed by the work of Archan Nair, an artist based in New Delhi, India, with excellent illustration, mixing vibrant colors to produce some really cool work.

Below you can see some examples of his work, but as usual, I highly recommend that you check Archan's site out, the URL is Archan Nair - http://badampista.croppedcircles.net/.

Reader Tutorial: Colorful Light Effect in GIMP
I was browsing the other day and saw a Sony-Ericsson Xperia X1 with a beautiful wallpaper on it and thought to myself "Can I make one that looks like it but using only GIMP?" And guess what? I could! And with this tutorial so can you. Step 1 We first create a new document, you can make it any size, though I used 1600 x 1200. Setting by default Black as your Foreground color, we can ask in the advanced options to use it as our background.
