I love almost every single post on Abduzeedo. Come here every day to get inspiration, but this work is just awful... Yes, the execution is great, but the concept is demeaning and offensive... Sorry guys, but I just had to say it. And I keep seeing more and more of this on design blogs. Why?

Anonymous09/14/2008

interesting. probably what the first synthetic humans will made to look like. no neat for superfluous sexual organs when you're making something androgenous. however, it's possible that external gender characteristics will be preserved to facilitate social interaction with humans.

as a follow on you should make some images of robots with reproductive organs. like an industrial welding machine with a pair of boobs and an asimo with a penor. it would make an interesting juxtaposition, is art after all.

I wonder if the problem with some guys for these photos are the poses of the models, that they are neked or the imposibility to see their whole body for their enjoyment.

Anyway.... Poor childs

Hadn't noticed this when first published. Amusingly, Alex was in the same year as me as Cambridge School of Art, I remember being very intrigued and picking up his samples at the Show.
For those questioning the point behind his work, here is an extract from
http://www.anglia.ac.uk/ruskin/en/home/news/archive/degreeshow2007.html

Alex Sandwell Kliszynski (32) from Cambridge is another accomplished BA (Hons) Photography student who will be exhibiting his work. His oddly familiar but strikingly controversial series of human-dolls stems from a concern with the commoditisation of the body, particularly the female form.
He explains:

"We seem more and more to be surrounded by images of women as sex objects in the mass media, particularly the 'lads' magazines that often take the lowest common denominator approach to their male audience."
His experiences of working with teenagers also suggest that some young women are now embracing something known as 'raunch culture'.
He continues:

"It seems that in many cases young women are aligning their own ideas of sexuality with a constructed male fantasy."

Well regardless of what others may think, i would say that it's a very good expression of modern art.I also respect the fact that the artist has had the uniqueness and well for lack of a better word, courage to display such work as many would frown upon it, as seen here. (no offence to anyone by the way)

New generation of home maids and butlers. They don't eat, they don't poop, they don't drink, they just recharge them selves from time to time, and are there for us, when we need them.
Cyborgs.

:D

I've seen the barbie style doll execution before but never to this level. Especially the ones where you really see the intersection of legs to body. Solid work. Cheers!!

Merrill03/19/2009

Hey. There are several good protections against temptations, but the surest is cowardice.
I am from Leone and too poorly know English, please tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Minute trips tickets for live events."

Thank you so much for your future answers :(. Merrill.
