Fabio just published the frilly bits typography tutorial now also for Fireworks, so i thought i post a little bit more about typography. Like Si Scott who includes a lot of it in his illustrations, like Fabio showed us.

He is hands down one of the best people at doing this sort of type treatment
Saw Si in Toronto last spring. Its amazing that every last line is hand drawn.

I was fortunate enough to see Si Scott presenting at a design conference a couple years back in Sydney, Australia. And i got to meet him at the after party for a chat, he's great guy and a mind blowing artist.
I think Si Scott is the reason you find so many free swirly vector packs all over the internet, but he draws them all by hand and scans them in. You can't copy that :)
That is absolutely incredible. I've been wanting to learn more about typography recently, but this is beyond anything I could have imagined. Extremely inspiring post.

his style is deviant and amazing.
I've seen someone with a brush pack on deviant art with the same looks exactly like si scotts style floral and swirls. i lost the link though.
meh. about a million designers do this same flowey bullshit
