The Intriguing Universe of Hafaell

August 17, 2011 from marcos333's blog

You really know that a illustrator got into a really unique aesthetic when you cannot label him and words are just not enough to describe his creations. Rafael Pereira (aka. Hafaell) is a well known illustrator thru the t-shirts communities, his illustrations can transit from darkness, beauty, disgust and some really unknown and weird feelings I can't describe yet.

You can get in touch with more of his artwork by accessing his Cargo Profileand his Flickr.

Photoshop Quick Tips: Neon with Layer Styles
I have posted about how to create the neon effect in Photoshop a couple of times, however I still get emails from readers asking me how I did the light effect I use on the Abduzeedo logo. So I decided to simplify the process and show you how to create the this effect in very simple steps using basically Layer Styles and a few brushes. Step 1 Open Photoshop and create a new document. I'm using 1920x1200 pixels. Fill the background with black.

The wallpaper of this week is an image I created last weekend when I was playing around with Pixelmator, it's inspired by those bokeh effects in photos. I will write a tutorial showing how I did that soon. Also, if you want to have your wallpaper featured in our WPW series, just send us an email with the link or the image attached. Desktop Version
