Introducing Paul Hollingworth

March 20, 2010 from aloa's blog

Since I've first seen his work I really admire him. Paul Hollingworth is a graphic designer , photographer & illustrator from England. Take a look at his artworks, which are very clean, simple but very powerfull & well-thought. Thanks Rik for showing me one of my new favourite artists.

Sadly he does not have a website, but a portfolio on the Behance Network and a great photography blog on Flickr

Form minus Function

It's fair to say that type and ink only ever meet on a printed page. In this series of images, the two elements are presented to us in a way that is a little more unusual. Images of black and white ink in water are accompanied by small typographical letters to generate strange yet captivating forms that appear to float effortlessly in the air.

A contemporary tribute to traditional methods of print.

UNICEF - Potential

Buy the book here...
www.60uniteforchildren.com APAG have printed a catalogue of 60 international artists in conjunction with UNICEF. The brief was to create a piece of work around the theme of childhood and UNICEF's key values... this was my submission.

It's intended to illustrate the potential within all children, in all situations, all of the time, everywhere. Not all children are given the best start in life. UNICEF help ensure those less privileged children are offered the same chance to develop their potential, regardless of their situation. The numerous columns of text on the buildings describe everything from child poverty and hunger, to childhood diseases, childrens rights and the goals of UNICEF.

Trendsetter

Identity and graphic application of TRENDSETTER: a small dance event / venue in London.
The concept behind the identity was derived from the name and nature of the event itself. As with any trend the logo itself was designed to alter in appearance throughout it's various applications. Ever-changing, ever-shifting...

The concept of illuminating the characters was intended to mimic the crowd's attraction to the event as nocturnal animals are attracted to light. Stand out//innovate//set trends

Case Study: Mux Mool Poster
Today I'm going to show a case study of a personal illustration I did recently. Having the will to experiment some new techniques, I found out that I should try more to include my drawings on my artworks, as artists like Sara Blake, Ian Macarthur, Gabz and others already do.
