Light Graffiti in Photoshop
A few weeks ago, Paulo published a really cool post about what he called “Awesome Light Graffiti Pictures”. I was completely blown away by the images and the crazy things they’re capable of doing just by taking pictures with a long exposure.
I received some emails asking me how to create that effect in Photoshop, and there are already some good tutorials on it, but I decided to write one myself. I’ll write 4 tutorials explaining how to do that in: Photoshop, GIMP, Pixelmator, and Fireworks.
I’ll start with the Photoshop one, and the final result you can see below. The tutorial will be published this week I think.
Update: You can read the tutorial at PSDTUTS.COM or clicking here

dayyyymn thats down, i've stuff somewhat similar to this but your work is CRUNK! =]
Hello :) Sorry I already posted in PSDTuts and in another tut by mistake :-/ ...
I have a big issue on your tut step 6 : my Stroke Path is plain WHITE (the foreground color in the example), I don't have this kind of overlay color mode ....
I have to choose afterwards the overlay color mode for the dude layer and duplicate it to get something OK, but not as good as your render ...
YES I do have the color burn set for the dual brush, and I checked 10 times ALL the steps, so ... what do I do wrong ?
Thx to help me, by giving maybe more details ...
awesome stuff!
What happened to pixelmator? :(
I was playing around with this tutorial and I think that the result is pretty cool ;).
Bus as well as others... I got issues since you are preparing the brush. It would be nice if you post just those little but very important hints ;).
So everyone that are stuck in that part of the tut could finish it.
Thanks for everything fabio. =)
Cheers from Mexico City.
Hallo Fabio,
deine Arbeiten sind genial, ich habe schon einige Tuts von dir nach gearbeitet und bin immer wieder erstaunt, was man alles aus Photoshop heraus holen kann.
Mach weiter so...super.
Gruß,Frank
Thank You very nice topic
Cara tu poderia disponibilizar esse teu trabalho final como wallpapaer.. seri bem legal,
espero que tu não se importe de um comentário em portugues mas achei que seria legal depois q descobri q era um gaucho o dono daqui...
Nice work ,great collection. Thanks for the share.
Love the tutorial and the final product which you have created is amazing, but i am having some trouble with mine, in the ones you have made, each figure has a slightly differeny glowing appearance, going from light to dark. when following along, all of mine are the same and i cant seem to get the colors perfect either. Any tips?
