Live Now - Creative Project by Eric Smith

November 11, 2009 from amanda's blog

I came across the "Live Now" project on Boooooom just the other day. I fell in love with the idea of the project and the story behind it. After being diagnosed with cancer, Eric Smith got this new-found appreciation for life and the human spirit -

"The fearful, human part of my being wanted to resist this disease, label it as "bad", and be at the mercy of this situation. But the essence of my spirit knew that this situation could not be isolated from the hidden harmony I seek to follow each day. Having my physical life threatened, provoked within me a strong separation between my spiritual and physical being. Although my physical body was being attacked ... my spiritual essence was untouchable."

Before cancer I was like most folks, just cruising along. It was during my treatment, when I started to discover what cancer could jpgt to me - the ability to absorb every moment as if each one were my whole life. The Live Now Project was born!

I think sometimes we all need a little pick-me-up and that's exactly what this project can do for people. At least it had that effect on me and I hope it can bring the same feeling to you too! Catch up with Eric on his site to see what other cool projects he's been getting up to - you won't be disappointed! And don't forget to let me one which was your favorite via twitter or facebook! I'd love to hear from you.
