Logo Design: Bananas and Oranges

June 02, 2011 from PauloGabriel's blog

The Logo Design series is up and running! We're thinking ahead and we want to find new ways to sort these listings. Last week we had a post on logos with watermelons and lemons... today it's all about logos with bananas and oranges!

As usual, we'll search for logos in these galleries: Logopond, Logo Faves, Logo Moose, Logo from Dreams, Logo Gala, WS Logos, The Logo Mix and Wolda. We hope you all enjoy our selection! Cheers. ;)

Hexagons Bokeh Effect in Pixelmator
Hexagons Bokeh Effect in Pixelmator
More than two years ago, I created an image of a digital bokeh using Pixelmator that became incredibly popular on the Internet. I easily created the image using Pixelmator’s filter, which was new at the time, called Defocus. I simply applied the filter and added a gradient overlay layer to create the effect. Therefore, in this tutorial, I will show you how to create a bokeh effect in a slightly different, but simple manner to achieve a beautiful outcome. Step 1 Open Pixelmator and fill the background layer with a very dark grey color (#0a0a0a).
