Minimalist Photography by Anders Lindén
August 19, 2009
After finding a preview of Lindén's work on BOOOOOOOM!, I instantly fell in love and knew this was something I had to share with you guys.
Stockholm-based Anders Lindén's approach to photography is very simple. His photographs all have a slight mysterious vibe to them and a soft dreamy feel. And not to mention I absolutely love his use of low contrast and muted tones. Don't forget to check out his portfolio.
Send me your suggestions for my next post via twitter or facebook. I'd love to hear from you!

cool, i like the unsaturated look
honestly some of these shots are terrible,
seems like as long as u add a retro/lomo look to your
photos they some how become "minimalistic" and that is something that i don not agree with! No offense to the author of this article tho :)
the use of offset is very interesting, my favorite one has to be the 8th one down (:
his shot's is amazing! really like his photos!
haha i also saw him on booooooom! =D
I'm from sweden to! =DD
wow amazing i m not a very fanatic of photography but i really love this photos amazing style
A genuinely bad photographer disguising bad snapshots as art.
I completely agree with blacker design
I haven't said a lot about the ongoing battle between Craigslist and certain overly-aggressive politicians, but after reading his most recent blog post, An Apology Is In Order, I have to say that I'm really proud of Jim. Having a CEO standing up to politicians and media for what he believes is right and true really reaffirms my decision to join Craigslist last year. Better yet, he's outdone most of the media by, *gasp*, actually linking to relevant information in...

These photos are terrible. The lighting is horrible and you can hardly see the models. Nothing "minimalistic" or "artistic" about these, they're just plain terrible.
Hmmm I'm torn on these. If you take one bad photo, it's a bad photo but if you take a dozen, it's an artistic style?
There's nothing great about these pictures at all. Not to sound harsh, but COME ON! These are supposedly "minimalist" pictures? How exactly are they "minimalist"? It seems like whenever someone takes a crappy photo, or a series of crappy photos and they don't want to admit they've taken crappy photos, then all they do is put said crappy photos in Photoshop and add either an action script or they change the levels in cmyk color mode. It's not like any of what I've said isn't the truth. Seriously, why the hell would anyone put a picture of the corner of a room that they've edited in Photoshop online for other people to be "amazed" at their taking such a crappy picture then editing it in Photoshop, then calling it "minimalist"?
Not your usual use of PS, more the other way around, desaturated, lowering the contrast, giving a flat look, taking out depth with haze. The placing of light and the protagonists makes the difference between your average failed snapshot. Interesting, polarizing and as a viewer you need to expand your brain above what the advertisement media made you believe is good aka. "shopped to death".
