It's always a great day when you find a real slick set of works like these by artist David Barton, aka Limpfish. These are his take on famous fine art pieces, mixing it up with pop culture elements, like Star Wars and The Simpsons. These are definitely a must have. Yes... you can have these. You may buy them at his shop at Imagekind. Unfortunately for me the worldwide shipping costs more than the print itself, so no "Seurat's Monday Morning in Chicago" for me.
"Morality & Dicipline" Digital Illustrations
Every Saturday I like to sit down and have a good cup of coffee while going through the Abduzeedo emails. I know I am way behind but it's always a good time for me to see the awesome recommendation we get, like the work of Turgay Mutlay, a Senior Art Director and Illustrator from İstanbul. I love the style and simplicity and of course we had to post it here on Abduzeedo. For more information about Turgay check out https://instagram.com/turgaymutlay
As you have probably noticed, we are fans of illustrations of all sorts, however there's one style that stands out, at least for me. I am talking about the woodcut style or editorial style illustrations. I don't know exactly the name of the style but I can say that Ricardo Martinez masters the technique with some incredible examples. Check out the illustrations that we selected from his portfolio. For more information about Ricardo visit http://www.behance.net/RicardoMartinez
Yet another week has ended, and to kickstart the weekend the right way, nothing better than an awesome set of illustrations, like these by American artist Christopher Stevens. These are pretty impressive! Check it out. Here you can see a handful of Chris' work. His style is pretty dope for sure. For more of his pieces, don't forget to visit his portfolio at DeviantART. It's definitely worth it! I hope you enjoy these as much as I did. Cheers! ;)
