Mysterious Photo Illustrations

September 06, 2010 from paul0v2's blog

Sergey is a Russian photo illustrator with amazing styles. Each piece is very intriguing to the eyes as you try to understand the mystery behind the image. Sergey claims that his works are not like the pros because he doesn't spend a lot of time in each piece and he experiments a lot and that's the base of his amazing style.

Create a Badass Gas Mask in Illustrator
Hi everyone, it's been a while since I dropped my last illustrator tutorial and so I decided to teach a really classy lesson this time. I've been a huge fan of vector art ever since I started working as an art director then as an illustrator. And I always appreciated the work of some of the masters like Pale Horse Design, Hydro 74 and Chris Vector. Their extremely detailed illustrations are really eye catching and sharp, I always wanted to understand how they do that.

The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration. About the book Elegant, quirky, fluid, brutish, ostentatious— a visual resource of cursives and other typefaces that resemble handwriting.
