The Perfect Office - FreakishClock, Star Wars Icon Backpacks and Office Ideas
- Sep 09, 2013
We've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?
Some pretty nice things this week for your office, like the fun book bookends, which are pretty fun. If you don't know how to read the time in a regular clock or just wants a different looking one, maybe the FreakishClock is just the thing for you! You can also add a super clever peeling effect to your wall with the fantastic peel wall light.
Books Bookends designed by Dmitry Kul, he made these bookends that seamlessly fit in with the books themselves. (at Like Cool)
FreakishClock Wall Clock
Italian designer Sabrina Fossi has eliminated the standard hour hand. Instead, the entire face of the FreakishClock is a spinning disk with a triangular hole that shows only one number at a time. Must be mounted to a wall with a screw, which is not included. Handmade in Italy. (at The Gadget Flow)
Star Wars Icon Backpacks
Hiding under the guise of a normal human citizen, your true identity has made dozens of attempts to break through. The fleshy prison you've housed this being in is growing weaker, more susceptible to suggestion, the desire to give in and allow the real you to overwhelm. We all know what it wants, what we must do to placate the monster: reflect. We must mimic the internal by means of external expression. To give it what it wants in small enough doses to keep the creature under wraps. Is it part of the Alliance, a Galactic Empire drone, or was it the droid you've been looking for all along?
Feed the beast with these iconic backpacks. With just enough flare, quality in craft, and self-expression, you can quench its thirst without letting others know of your “situation.” It's a fiend of the most horrific design, a Star Wars fan. And, even though you enjoy the franchise, occasionally indulge in the universe, it'll never be enough for “it.” But maybe, just maybe, this bit of high quality, practical fandom will bring you much-needed relief. Peel wall light
A wall light that looks as if a corner of a wall were peeling and light was leaking therefrom. OLED is used to make the light source as thin as possible and the electric cable is let to stay along a corner of walls so that it doesn’t stand out. It can be fixed to the wall with a hook. (at Yoy Idea)
Sony Cyber-shot QX Lens Cameras
Transform your smartphone into a fully-functioning camera with these Sony Cyber-Shot QX Lens Cameras. Each of these lenses attaches to your smartphone with an included mechanical bracket, and connects using WiFi or NFC, letting you take the kind of pictures reserved, until now, for actual cameras. They can also function as stand-alone cameras, with a slot for a memory card and a shutter button. They currently offer two models, one with a large 20 megapixel sensor and 3.6x zoom, and another with an 18 megapixel sensor and 10x zoom. (at Uncrate)
