We've seen some great gadgets and equipment for designers. So many cool stuff, that we could actually assemble infinite perfect office spaces! Every week we'll assemble a perfect office, and we'd like you to help us. What equipment would the perfect office have?
This week we've selected a bunch of amazing things for you! For those who enjoy quality sound for their music, there's the JBL Authentics Speakers and also the Steel Series Siberia Elite headset, which looks amazingly comfortable. If you're looking for the next gen camcorder, the Sony 4K will do the job for you! And my favorite pick in this Perfect Office is more of a leisure time item: the Alienware Steam Machine! Looks AWESOME.
Multi Functional Coat Rack
A multifunctional coatrack with two design features. A simple shelf that rests on three of the screw in pegs adds a unique twist, enabling the user to keep personal items close to hand so they are not forgotten. The other feature is that it is made using wood offcuts to demonstrate the uniqueness of the wood and how it can be used with minimal industrial involvement, meaning it doesn't have to be machined into straight grained boards to be a functional, attractive piece of furniture. The Kanex simpleDock is a 3-in-1 solution that includes a Gigabit Ethernet port, charging station and a 3-port USB 3.0 hub. The best part is that it packs so much functionality into an incredibly small space and makes it look good too. The zinc alloy of the simpleDock perfectly matches your MacBook. The charging dock keeps your iPhone or iPad handily accessible at all times and not just while it’s charging. To top it off, the mess of charging cables is gone. Your desk is now painfully neat and orderly, and it looks great with the simpleDock and your MacBook in matching colors. If that’s not enough, the three USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet port allow you to transfer data and sync devices at lightning-fast speeds of up to 5 Gbps. (at The Gadget Flow)
JBL Authentics Speakers
The most impressive thing about the JBL Authentics Speakers isn't their looks, though they are gorgeous in walnut or gloss black finishes — and it's not their sound, though they do sound great with either four or six speakers and 30-50 watts of power. The most impressive thing isn't even hardware, it's software: Signal Doctor by Harman software. This tech allows the speakers to instantly repair the audio signal from digital music in real time, letting your MP3s and other compressed media sound their absolute best. Additional features include wireless connectivity over WiFI, DLNA, AirPlay, and Bluetooth, USB charging ports, and the JBL MusicFlow app that lets you easily control playback on iOS or Android. Steel Series Siberia Elite
The iconic design of the Siberia headsets has been a favorite among gamers for many years. The Siberia Elite carries on that tradition with an all-new take on that classic look and feel. SteelSeries was the first to bring the retractable microphone to gaming headsets. We made the comfort and fit of the suspension headband renowned around the world. We are doing it again. This is Siberia. This is Elite. (at Steel Series)
Sony 4K Camcorder
So you went out and bought yourself a brand new 4K TV — congratulations, take a moment to sit back and admire all those pixels. Though at this point you've probably come to the realization that there just isn't much video out there to let you take advantage of it (at least until Netflix starts streaming their original content in Ultra HD). Instead of waiting for the rest of the world to catch up with you, you might as well just make your own with the Sony FDR-AX100/B 4K Camcorder. This remarkable little video camera is capable of capturing video far in excess of normal HD resolution, with a 14 megapixel sensor, a Carl Zeiss lens, and a BIONZ X processor. And once you've shot a few videos worth being proud of, go ahead and use the built-in WiFi and NFC connectivity to pair it with your phone, and share with any of your friends lucky enough to be able to watch them — we're sure they'll thank you for it. Alienware Steam Machine
Forget next-gen consoles — if Valve has their way, 2014 will be the year of the Steam Machine. And with 14 companies cranking out the boxes, it's not as easy as buying, say, a PS3. Which is why we've got our eyes on the Alienware Steam Machine. Crafted by one of the most trusted names in PC gaming, this sleek black box will be powered by an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, and will (of course) run SteamOS, giving you access to tons of games running natively, and thousands more available via in-home streaming. It's like a HTPC, evolved. (at Uncrate)
