Poster Giveaway: Tron Legacy by James White
We have done some really cool giveaways, from books to useful apps. However we have never given away posters. So we decided to try it out this time and we wanted it to be special, it had to be amazing. So the first to come to mind was the Tron Legacy poster by James White.
Thanks to James we have 2 Tron posters to giveaway. To participate is very simple, just leave a comment in the form below with a valid email so we can contact you. Also as we are working on the new design of Abduzeedo, we would love to hear from you if you have any suggestion of feature or things you do not like on the blog.
I’ve been wanting to create this poster for the better part of a year now, after seeing the shaky video of the Tron 2 footage that appeared online last year. But with all of the new materials released last week, concept images and the brilliant trailer for Tron Legacy, I finally had enough reference material to create my own poster for the film. The trailer is packed with lovely neon lights and television screen feedback, which are elements I love incorporating into my work.James White
The winners will be announced next week.
About James White
James White has been drawing since the age of 4, scribbling down his favorite characters such as Superman, Batman, the Dukes of Hazzard, etc. Being from a military family, he made 3 big moves through childhood but never strayed from his colored-pencils.
Today, James creates personal posters and art prints for sale on his website, Signalnoise.com, while working with select clients looking to add new creative to their campaigns. He has worked with such clients as Toyota, Armada Skis, VH1 Latin America and MTV, and has been featured internationally in Computer Arts and Advanced Photoshop magazines.

James White really rules. Still waiting for his dvd with psd files to come out. As for the new Abduzeedo; I believe I don't need to tell you guys what you shouldn't do design wise; since you got that covered. What you SHOULD do however, is get the great Paulo to create a tutorial on how he made his 'Flip' artwork.

Sweet poster. Really liken the vibrance of the color. Love the current layout of the blog, not sure what you could do to improve it. I would like to see more tutorials since they really are some of the best on the web.

Great post! James is such an inspiration. I saw the trailer for tron only after seeing your poster on signalnoise. Good capture of the movie's essence.

As for Abudeezo, I can't find much wrong with it. Only thing I can think of would be making sure you don't use pics already used before in your daily inspiration, but with so many entries it happens :p

what I like a lot about the blog design is that it's dark, I think all the featured artwork looks best on a dark (black) background... so please don't change that! ;)

Tron has always been my favorite movie and a big reason is because its so beautiful. Its over 20 years old and still one of the most beautiful movies ever created. I think james poster is a must-have to the collection! amazing work!

Was looking everywhere for designer poster here in Toronto....Seems like it's not possible to find it here,so I ended up with "Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" movie poster lol ...
I actually think think that this design is great...And as I remember you guys kinda changed a little bit not that long ago...Anyways,I would suggest an option of sorting search by number of comments and views)

Because I had this poster set as my desktop wallpaper, at work, I managed to get given a 2nd monitor so I could have a duel monitor setup.
Our internal support manager saw it and loved it some much he decided I deserved a present!

Great poster, the only thing that i personally would change would be the header & footer backgrounds. Maybe make it look like it has more depth to it.

Wow, this is a really big opportunity. I've always been a big fan of James White's work, and i saw on his site when he did this artwork and he said that he couldn't sell it but he would work out how to deliver this to us, and here it is!

I thought James' work on the 2600 Legacy poster was utter perfection. Being a HUGE fan of TRON and downloading a desktop resolution copy of this design, I think James has (in my humble estimation) just done his best work to date!

This is the best designer blog on the intrawebs - its sad it took a giveaway for me to comment, but what can I say... I usually just enjoy the great posts and get back to work! I'm inspired daily with my work, in architecture, by the posts and also filled with faith that anyone can make truly great work regardless of designers conditions because it's the work that speaks for itself.
I absolutely LOVE Tron and if I don't win this poster you guys should work on getting your hands on the soundtrack for the next giveaway... it's done solely by DAFT PUNK : )

This is the perfect abstract-subject poster for this movie. This movie lends itself to James White's work. I love all his posters. They're colorful and shiny without being cheesy.
