Really Cool Posters

November 05, 2009 from amanda's blog

I can't even keep count of how many times I've posted about posters before (haha, that sounds weird…) but I really never get sick of seeing new stuff! Last night I was cruising through ffffound for the first time in a long time and found some sweet new posters practically just asking to be featured in a post! I had to do it! Sorry, folks, here goes another one..

Oh and I found this cool site called omgposters.com so if you're like me, go satisfy your poster-lust over there! Seriously, pages upon pages of good stuff. It's heavenly. Check that mess out! And as always, you can get in contact with me via twitter or facebook!

LCD Style Effect in Pixelmator
Digital LCD effects are very common but they still impress me especially in terms of light effects. The way the light gets blurry on the edges and super strong in the center is simply amazing. I have been doing this kind of effect for quite a long time but never shared exactly this one and using Pixelmator. So in this tutorial I will show you how to create a LCD style text effect using Pixelmator. The whole process is quite simple and won't take you more than 30 minutes.

Book Suggestion: Timeline of Graphic Design in Brazil
As the name implies, this book (but I dare call a Bible) tells the story of graphic design in Brazil in a very intelligent way and brings a wealth of incredible images and with a touch of nostalgia for most Brazilians.
