Some Cool Projects from the EXPO 2010, SHANGHAI
August 14, 2009
Since 1851 the world meets regularly in the great Universal Exposition. London was the first to show itself to the world when built his famous "Crystal Palace", a huge area covered by steel and glass that houses the stands of many countries. From then on I remember the Tour Eiffel (1889), the German Pavilion designed by Mies van der Rohe in Barcelona (1929), the Portuguese pavilion by Alvaro Siza (1998), among many other unique projects.
Now is time for we to focus in Shanghai, at the Expo 2010. Most of the Countries around the world have their projects done and the work has now begun. As I can tell you, we are going to be able to see everything from stunning works until the most bizarre constructions. However, most of information you can find on internet is contradictory, then I have decided to make a compilation for you, including most of the projects I could find, give a look and judge for yourselves!
(If you know about any other project that is not on our list and you wish to share, send it to us and we will publish on our next post!)
Enjoy!

Moon Bay Marina of Maldives XD
I can't believe that some of these projects got past initial sketches. I would like to experience Poland, Austria, the UK and maybe a couple of others many are an embarassment to architecture.
All awsome projects. My favorite was the Tibete one , simply perfect. Great post.
Kind of looks like it will be a Mecca for skateboarders!
by far, the best building is the Denmark pavilion. Realy outstanding and simple idea.
Wow!!! One hell of an inspiration for architects i guess :P
