Super Stylish Constructivist Art

September 04, 2009 from PauloGabriel's blog

Among all the art schools, one of the most bad-asses is definitely the Constructivism. Spread worldwide by Soviet propaganda, it features lots of straight lines, few colors, and it feels really powerful. Lately, indie bands started using constructivist inspiration for its identities.

One of the most famous one, is Franz Ferdinand, followed by some others. Constructivism is an awesome source of inspiration, since anything will look good in it. Take any band, make a constructivist poster, and you got yourself a sweet piece of design. So I went looking for not only band stuff, but everything constructivism, and found a bunch of super stylish stuff, which I share here with you guys. You should really visit each author's page for more of these bad boys. I hope you enjoy these. Cheers! ;)

Book Suggestion: Timeline of Graphic Design in Brazil
As the name implies, this book (but I dare call a Bible) tells the story of graphic design in Brazil in a very intelligent way and brings a wealth of incredible images and with a touch of nostalgia for most Brazilians.
