The Surreal World of Mcbess

May 10, 2011 from AoiroStudio's blog

Mcbess aka Matthieu Bessudo is a very talented French illustrator living in London and mastering his skills with illustrations strong in contrast and in retro inspiration. Mcbess's black and white universe reminds me a lot "old school" cartoon, the world of rock mixed with the modern age. "Alors je vous présente le merveilleux monde imaginaire de Mcbess".

For more information about Mcbess, you can visit Mcbess.com , be a fan on Facebook or follow him on Twitter @mcbess .

As I like to play with all tools I decided to give it a try in Pixelmator as well. So, in this tutorial I will show you how to create a beautiful Mac style icon using Pixelmator. I will show you how to create some bevels and light effects that are very characteristic of these icons.
