Amazing Spaceships Concepts

I've just came from the movies, after I watched District 9. It was a true thrill to see such a great "low budget" film made and it only reminds me of how great sci-films were back then, and there was a total lack of good sci-fi films like that lately, until District 9 arrived. Amazing Concept Arts by Philip Straub

Concept Art is an amazing way to put on paper your ideas and thoughts. We usually get to see futuristic architecture and automotive concepts, mainly because that's probably the coolest thing to do. But this guy, Philip Straub, came up with some nightmarish pieces, somewhat disturbing. Philip's luminous and meticulously detailed digital and traditional oil paintings have classical influences but are purely based on the fantastic. Many images are derived from the ever present surreal worlds that play out in his mind like lucid dreams throughout the day. This quote pretty much describes him. For more of his work (much more awesome stuff), visit his portfolio. Hope you guys like these! Cheers. ;)
