Saul Bass This is the first book to be published on one of the greatest American designers of the 20th Century, who was as famous for his work in film as for his corporate identity and graphic work. With more than 1,400 illustrations, many of them never published before and written by the leading design historian Pat Kirkham, this is the definitive study that design and film enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating. The book suggestion of the week is one of my favorites, it's called Typology: Type Design From Victorian Era to the Digital Age and it covers a lot of art history always linking with types and typography. It's a must read for those starting out their careers or even willing to dust off their typology and typography skills. About the book A must-have for designers, not to mention that quirky group in love with type for types sake (you know who you are), Typology is the most visually dynamic compendium of typefaces on the market. The book suggestion of the week is called Symbol and it's a great book for those willing to learn more and improve their design skills on symbols. It shows over 1300 symbols organized in 2 styles abstract and representatinonal with sub groups within those 2. The book suggestion of this week is a very inspiring one for those in love with vintage typography, it's called Scripts: Elegant Lettering from Design's Golden Age. It's definitely a book for when you need some extra motivation and inspiration. Book Suggestion: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

The book suggestion of this week is Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. I know pretty much everybody has already blogged or suggested it however I finally read the whole book and I can guarantee that it is totally worth it. I won't tell much about the book, but do not expect to see a nice Steve super friendly and gentle. Steve on the other hand had an incredible vision about products and the importance of design when it comes to deliver the best experience.
