The newly released Pixelmator includes a very important feature: the Slice Tool. Now we can slice and save pieces of the layout to create Web sites. That is really handy! Because of that, I decided to create a tutorial showing how to create a Web site design using Pixelmator.
Step 1
The wallpaper of this week is an image I created for a tutorial for Digital Arts Magazine. The idea of this image was to play with patterns and displace, so the design combines a 3D cubes pattern with an image of a girl totally deconstructed using the perspective of the cubes.
The tutorial will be available soon, but stay tuned because I will post the PSD file so you guys can take a look at how I did it.
The book suggestion of this week is all about illustration and it's one of the books we check out when looking for inspiration. The book is called The Sourcebook of Contemporary Illustration. We highly recommend that you check it out.
